Led by veteran shooting guard James Harden, the Los Angeles Clippers ended their 2024–25 regular season on a high note, riding an eight-game winning streak into the playoffs.

The Clippers wrapped up the year with a 50–32 record, securing the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference and avoiding the play-in tournament altogether.

Harden, 35, was instrumental in the late-season surge, averaging 29.5 points, 10.5 assists, and 7.5 rebounds over the team’s final four games. He capped off his 16th regular season in style, delivering a triple-double against the Sacramento Kings and dropping 39 points on the Golden State Warriors.

In recognition of his dominant stretch, Harden was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week.

The Clippers acknowledged Harden’s accomplishment with a celebratory post on social media.

“James Harden is your Western Conference Player of the Week,” the team wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

This achievement marks the second straight week a Clippers player has earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors. Just one week earlier, the award went to Harden’s teammate, Kawhi Leonard.

“Saved the best for last. Back-to-back Western Conference Player of the Week awards for 1 and 2,” the team wrote in a follow-up post on social media.

In a recent interview with NBA insider Chris Haynes, Harden reflected on his legacy and the public perception surrounding his career.

“I think, sooner or later, people will start to understand and recognize how hard I actually worked, and what I was able to accomplish throughout my career,” Harden said. “For now, just let them keep talking — hopefully, the narrative will change eventually.”
